This guide will help players release the five locks and defeat the boss in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Fire Temple.

The Fire Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a labyrinthian dungeon in which players must ring five gongs and defeat a boss. As with many things in the game, these tasks can be a bit tricky to complete, and there are several points at which fans may get lost. For those players that are indeed having some trouble getting through The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Fire Temple, this complete walkthrough is here to help.

To note, the hunt for the five gongs in the Fire Temple is preceeded by a short sequence during which their positions are marked on the map. To initiate that sequence, Tears of the Kingdom players must simply approach Yunobo near the locked gate and then interact with the green circle that is nearby. Once that is done, fans can use the following information to release the five padlocks.

At the bottom of the ramp that leads to the locked gate, players should follow the path that heads southward, dispatching the TotK Construct that they encounter along the way. Fans should then use the moving platforms to jump across the flowing lava and strike the Hydrant that is on the other side. This action will cause the Hydrant to start spewing water, and fans should pick it up with Ultrahand, direct it toward the large lava pool, and create a path across.

Fans will now encounter a cart on a track, and they should jump in and strike the fan to activate it. As TotK's Link is propelled forward, players should use Yunobo's Charge ability to hit the circular device that is on the left of the side track. This action will alter the track ahead, allowing the cart to continue advancing.

When the cart comes to a halt, players should jump out, dispatch the enemy that is attached to the nearby pillar, and then grab a Hydrant with Ultrahand. This Zonai device should be taken down the path that leads southward, activated, and used to create a platform in the lava directly in front of the large red boulder. Players can then use Yunobo's Charge to smash that boulder and gain access to the room with the first gong.

With the first padlock released, players should return to the room in which their mine cart ride just ended and hit the obelisk next to the barrier to raise it. Fans should then jump back in their cart and allow it to propel them up to 2F, where it will eventually hit the end of the track. There is a bell device directly next to the track in this position, and players should strike it to turn their cart around.

Fans should now get back in the cart, activate the fan, and hit the circular device that is ahead with Yunobo's Charge, causing its arrow to point to the right. Players will reach another barrier just beyond that device, and they should leave their cart, head westward, and strike the bell device that they encounter. This action will lower a nearby portion of track, and players should use Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability to place a cart upon it and go for a ride.

Players will now be in a room with a lava pool, and there is a large red boulder on the left side. Hitting that boulder with Yunobo's Charge will allow a Hydrant's water to come into contact with the lava, creating a stream of platforms. Fans should use Recall on one of those platforms as it draws near to Link, and then use it to ride to the other side, where they will find the second gong.

Players should now return to their cart on the other side of the lava pool and rotate it by striking the nearby bell device. Fans should then use an arrow in Tears of the Kingdom to hit the bell device that is across the track to the south. This action will raise a portion of the track, allowing players to ride their cart up to 3F.

The first room that players will encounter on this new floor is home to many tracks and devices, and they should begin by using Ultrahand to grab a TotK Rocket from the south wall. This device should be attached to the back of a cart, with its tip pointing toward the cart, and the vehicle can then be placed upon the broken track on the west side of the room. Players should now jump into their rocket cart and strike the device to get propelled over the break and onto 4F.

As soon as the cart comes to a stop, players should walk forward until they run into a small bridge that is in two sections. Fans should repair this bridge by using Ultrahand to attach one section to another. With the repair complete, players should have Yunobo charge across the bridge, causing him to break a large red boulder on the ceiling. This will make a box fall down, and Zelda fans should stand on top of the object and use Recall to ascend into 5F, where they will find the third gong.

After ringing the third gong, players should head to the northeast corner of the area and glide down to the room on 3F with the many tracks and devices. There are two bell devices next to one another on the north side of this room, and players should hit both of them in order to complete the track to the right and send it upward. Fans can then use a fan-powered cart to ride this track to 4F.

Here, players should ascend the ramp that moves northward to enter the area with the fourth gong. To ring it, fans must construct a ramp, and the first step in that process is making Yunobo charge up the nearby angled platform. This action will break a large red boulder, allowing a Hydrant to create square platforms within the lava. Players should then use Ultrahand to attach a square platform to a rectangular platform, as seen in the image that is above. This ramp should be placed in front of the gong, and Yunobo should charge up it.

Once this job is done, players should turn their ramp to face the large red boulder that is across from the gong. Indeed, using Yunobo to break this boulder is key to releasing the final lock, and players should not leave the area before that is done.

With the boulder smashed, players should position themselves at the end of the broken ramp points toward the room that the boulder was blocking. Fans should then use Tears of the Kingdom's paraglider to reach the platform that is down and to the left. On this platform, which is on 3F, players will find a cart with a fan, and they should place it upon the track with the sharp bend (positioned so that it will move eastward across the track).

Once the cart is in position, players should direct their attention to the two bell devices that are next to one another. These devices can be seen when looking to the south across the gap, and fans should hit the right device with three arrows to put a ramp in front of their cart. Riding up this ramp will bring Link to a room on 4F, where players will find a cart that they can use to reach 5F.

Players are now directly above the room that was blocked by the large red boulder that was destroyed after ringing the fourth gong. Fans can enter that room by gliding off the eastern edge, and they will find a large hole in the ground upon arrival. Falling through that hole will give players access to the fifth gong, and they can exit the room by striking the nearby obelisk when they are ready to do so.

With all five gongs rung, players should return to the locked gate at which they started and interact with the green circle that is nearby. This interaction will allow fans to enter the room beyond the gate, and they should use Yunobo's Charge ability to send him up a wall. The goal here is to break the red boulders on the ceiling and initiate a fight with the boss of this Tears of the Kingdom dungeon, the Marbled Gohma.

During the first phase of this battle, Marbled Gohma will launch explosives rocks and attempt to strike with its legs when Link is close. Players can avoid these attacks by staying mobile and maintaining a bit of distance, and they should use Yunobo's Charge to hit the boss's legs when possible. After hitting two of the legs, the Marbled Gohma will fall to the ground, and fans of open-world games will then have the opportunity to deal some damage.

To deal damage to the Gohma, players should jump on top of its body and strike its eye with their strongest melee weapons in Tears of the Kingdom. After mounting an assault for a short time, the Gohma will start to shake, and players should quickly should jump off to avoid taking damage. From there, fans must simply repeat the process of breaking the boss's legs and damaging its eye, and the second phase will begin when the Gohma is near 50% health.

The second phase of the fight is similar to the first, though the Gohma will now be on the ceiling. This means that players will no longer be able to target the legs directly, and they will instead need to send Yunobo up the walls with Charge in order to hit the boss. Fortunately, Yunobo only needs to hit once to make Gohma's eye vulnerable to melee attacks, making it possible to dispatch this TotK enemy fairly quickly.

One final thing to know about this phase is that Gohma will attempt to trap Link in a circle of explosives boulders. These boulders are larger than those from the first phase, which still appear in the second, and they explode more slowly. The easiest way to deal with this trap is to use Yunobo to charge through the rocks, and players that exercise a bit of caution should be able to beat the boss, complete the Fire Temple, and claim an additional Heart Container in Tears of the Kingdom without too much trouble.
